I have been wanting to take Callie to the zoo for a while now because she loves animals (didn't get that from me!), but it has just been too darn hot to even think about it. Last Friday, the weather was decent so we joined Sarah, Brooke, and their kids on a trip to Gladys Porter Zoo and Chic-Fil-A. Callie had as much fun as I thought she would.
All the monkeys slowed down enough for a quick picture.
Callie didn't last long in the stroller because she couldn't see the animals. She had no trouble keeping up with the big kids, though. It's times like this that make me realize how big she is and how quickly it's happening!
The giraffes walked right up to us, and the kids loved it.
The zoo recently built an awesome play area. Callie couldn't quite do what the big kids could do, but she had just as much fun on the little slide and just running around.
This is one of the only pictures of Callie's face because she was too busy playing and looking at the animals.
She didn't know what to think of the mister in the play area.
We will definitely be making another trip or two to the zoo before we move. It will only get even better once the weather really cools down!

Yea!!! Thanks for updating. Looks like ya'll had a good time. I miss ya'll!!! Now how about a Macie update as well. :)
