The Holmes in Waco

A couple of Mondays ago the girls and I were able to meet up with my college friend, Lauren, and her family in Waco.  Lauren was visiting her family in Fort Worth for her brother's wedding.  We haven't been this close in distance in over 5 years so we just had to figure out a way to meet!
Lauren was a wonderful friend all throughout college and still is!  We met before our freshman year even began at the freshman Christian camp, Impact.  We discovered that we were living in the same dorm, 1 floor apart, had the same major and 3 of 4 classes together.  We were destined to be great friends! :)  Since graduation, she has lived on the east coast and in England.  Of course, right before we moved to Virginia is when she moved to England, and we were already in California when she moved back to Maryland.  We have had 5 little girls between the 2 of us since we've seen each other!!  Needless to say, it was great getting to see her and to spend time with her sweet family.  I wish we could have spent more time, but I'm just glad we finally got to see her again!
We met at the Mayborn Museum Discovery Center in Waco, and it was amazing!  The girls had so much fun, and Lauren and I got to catch up a little between watching the girls.  Lauren's husband, Brad, came too and got to hang out with all 7 of us girls!  He was a trooper! :)  We were there for over 3 hours and were entertained the entire time.  We will definitely be making another trip to Waco.

Us with 3 of our 5 Girls
Brad, Anna, Jillian, Faith and Callie were watching the penny go down the funnel.

Macie was such a good girl!  She just watched all the girls from her stroller.
Bus driver Callie gave Anna a ride.

They had live animals and insects!

Jillian was gardening with help from her Mom.

Callie took a break from all the fun to stuff Macie's mouth with some puffs.

Friends already!

This is weather girls, Jillian and Callie, giving us the forecast.
It was a wonderful day and hope it's not another 5 years before we can do it again!
